Safely prepare your truck for winter!

Winter is coming soon, and along with it some problems related to cold, snow or salt can damage your heavy duty truck.

Some of your truck's parts are more sensitive during the winter season. Fortunately, it is possible to avoid unpleasant surprises by taking some simple precautions:

1. Check your truck's batteries

One of the first things you should do before heading out into the winter in your truck is to test your vehicle's batteries and clean its connections.

While battery damage occurs during the summer in hot weather, it's in the winter when it's cold that they most often fail under the heavy load used during start-up.

To do this, check for verdigris on the poles of your battery. Clean and grease the poles.
 

2. Replace the air dryer cartridges

It is recommended to change the air dryer cartridge once a year. It's time to take action!
 

3. Perform a PEP inspection

It's a good idea to perform a PEP inspection to make sure nothing is wrong before the cold weather arrives. Make an appointment with our service team!
 

4. Do a regular cleaning

During the winter, it is highly recommended to wash your truck often to protect its body, chassis and tires from damage caused by salt spread on the roads in case of ice or snow.
